The Challenge
Southern Oregon has the highest concentration of nationally-designated Wild and Scenic Rivers in all of North America. But the region is changing. Like many other places, the area is under strong pressure to develop. The Wild Rivers Land Trust seeks to maintain the integrity of the area as it goes through this period of intense change, preserving the natural areas that make it such a desirable place to live and play. The Trust asked us to help them build a movement around their mission by producing an anchor video that could relay the natural beauty of the Wild Rivers Coast and inspire others to join their efforts to protect it.
The Solution
We opted to construct a narrative around 4 different stories of locals in the area. We let them each relate their personal take on what is important and worth saving, and combined their voices with visuals that capture the natural beauty of sourthern Oregon. Their unique perspectives — authors, ranchers, a musician, and a business owner — combine to give the larger picture of the immense value of this spectacular part of the country.
