Statewide
Contracting
For eligible public sector organizations in WA or OR, the process of contracting us for video production is now vastly streamlined so we can get to the fun part faster: making great videos together.
In 2024 Caravan Lab was selected to receive a statewide contract for video production through the WA Department of Enterprise Services (DES). We’re excited to work with partners old and new through this agreement, but you may have questions. We’ve answered some below. And feel free to reach out to us directly if you have additional questions we didn’t cover here.

What is a statewide contract?
DES conducted a competitive bidding process to select video production companies that fulfilled key requirements and had a proven track record of creating quality products. We were one of four companies chosen for each of the two video categories: documentary and scripted. The goal of this process was to increase transparency for eligible public-sector organizations who want to make videos, while using the state’s collective buying power to save money, reduce risk, and streamline purchasing.
Why does it matter?
For eligible organizations, the process of producing high quality videos just got easier, faster, and more cost efficient. There is no longer a need to spend time drafting RFPs and reading proposals or vetting potential contractors. Organizations can reach out and contract us directly with minimal paperwork and personnel time since we have been pre-vetted.
Who is eligible to use the statewide contract?
WA state agencies, counties, cities, districts, as well as some federal governmental agencies, nonprofits and tribes are eligible to use the contract. Members of the Oregon Cooperative Purchasing Program (ORCPP) are also eligible. You can find a current list of eligible organizations here.
How do I get an agreement started with you under this contract?
Reach out to us via our contact form or directly to our senior producer, Marita Davison ([email protected]) to get started. We’ll ask for some details about your project and can then provide a quote for the services required.
How can I be sure you know how to work with us?
We have worked with several state agencies and districts and are happy to provide references and work samples. Rest assured that it’s in our mutual best interest to be sure we are the right fit before starting a new project. We’ll do the discovery work necessary to ensure we can create a successful product with your team before we enter an agreement.
